Physique Gym COVID 19 Protocols

Physique Gym consists of a 400m2 facility divided into a cardio area, weights area and a studio area, including separate shower and toilet facilities.

Although our premises consist of 400 m2 and we are allowed to have up to 40 members in at one time, we will initially only accept 15 members on our gym floor and a further 6 in our Studio, to guarantee a safe training environment.

Please find our COVID-19 Protocols below:

  • All members entering Physique Gym, will be registered through our Gym software system. They have to scan their membership card on arrival, and have their temperature checked by a “infra-red thermometer, the readings will be added to the Members Notes in the software system. On departure they will have to swipe their membership card again and their temperature will be taken and registered. A list of arrival and departure times of members attended on each day can be produced. Members with a raised temperature will be sent home.

  • Antibacterial hand gel is to be used upon entering the gym, this is for all members and staff alike.

  • No towel, no workout.  Towels are available for hire at reception. 

  • Antibacterial wipes supplied are to be used to wipe down weights and equipment, before & after use, this includes the mats.

  • Cleaning Staff: Will thoroughly clean & disinfect high touch areas like weights and equipment frequently throughout the day.

  • Twice daily meticulous cleaning of the whole gym.

  • Personal hygiene posters will be displayed throughout the gym on walls and TV’s. ( see attached)

  • Water fountain button to be pressed with a tissue / paper towel to avoid cross infection to touch.

  • Don't come to the gym if you're unwell with a cough, cold or other flu-like illness, or are in close contact with anyone who is unwell. If you are concerned call 111.

  • If you need to cough or sneeze, use a tissue and bin it immediately, then wash your hands and apply sanitising gel provided.

  • Please don’t touch your face mouth or eyes area whilst training.

  • Only 15 members per hour will permitted on the gym floor.

  • Social distancing has to be maintained between members at all times, this will be monitored by a member of Staff

  • Staff will keep a register and time log of members entering and leaving the gym using our gym software.

  • Showers are not to be used at this time. The use of the toilets only in emergencies.

Staff:

  • All staff must check their temperature on arrival and register this.

  • The use of a face mask / screens whilst at work is compulsory

  • Staff will be required to wash their hands frequently and use the antibacterial gel provided.

  • Cash will only be counted whilst wearing gloves.

  • Stock received will be wiped down before storage.

CLEANING PRODUCTS USED

  • Bacterquad: High quality disinfectant (antibacterial and antifungal) used on machines and equipment throughout the day between clients

  • Machines at night also Cleaned with hot water, soap, bacterquad and bleach 

  • Floor: cleaned with Bacterquad, bleach and Neutral Nanit

  • Doors/Handles: Bacterquad (antibacterial solution) and window cleaner on all door handles and door frames

  • On ALL surfaces (desks, tables, counters etc) : bacterquad (antibacterial/antifungal) 

  • Bathrooms: Cloro on all walls, surfaces , showers etc. When cleaned throughout final use of Bacterquad 

CLEANING ROTA

  • From 10:00 till 13:00, a cleaner will disinfect all equipment thoroughly, including changing areas.

  • From 17:00 till 23:00, a cleaner will disinfect equipment and changing areas. Once the members have left, he / she will disinfect the floors and all hand contact points.
